It’s October in Britannia!

As many of you have noticed the pumpkin patches are once again ripe with pumpkins fresh for picking and the cemeteries have once again fallen under control of the Butchers!

Visit a pumpkin patch to find a Jack o’ Lantern.  Beware that picking Jack o’ Lanterns can summon the vicious Grimm!  Defeat the grim and you may be lucky enough to find a carvable pumpkin.  Visit a cemetery to find the Butchers, defeat them and you may find a Jack o’ Lantern carving kit.  Using a Jack o’ Lantern carving kit on a carvable pumpkin will give you a random Carved Pumpkin design that will illuminate when double clicked.  Jack o’ Lanterns and Butcher’s can be found now throughout the month of October.

Throughout Britannia NPCs will also respond to “Trick or Treat” which will give you a treat, or a nasty trick!  NPCs will respond to “Trick or Treat” now throughout the month of October.

Treasures of Doom!

The Treasures of Doom returns!  Venture deep into the depths of Dungeon Doom to recover Artifacts of Doom that can be exchanged for rewards at the Professor outside the dungeon entrance.  Treasures of Doom will be active when Publish 90 goes World Wide (assuming no issues, 10/8/2015) through November 8, 2015.

As a final note, some of you have pointed that the “Time of Legends” entitlement is not displaying in the account management page.  We are aware of the issue, and it should be resolved now.  Also remember that Publish 90 is currently only active on Origin & Izumo, so Anniversary gifts are not available on other shards until Publish 90 goes World Wide (assuming no issues, 10/8/2015).

The Silver Gate

The Stranger aligned the last gem in its place within the ritual circle. Mana began to pool between the four gems, pulled to the tower from each of the four continents. Pausing briefly to focus his mind, the Stranger whispered an ancient incantation, carefully shaping the mana into a delicate silver gate. When the moongate was stable enough for passage, the Stranger picked up his sword and stepped through.

Hawkwind, the Time Lord, solemnly watched the Stranger's actions. When the gate closed, he held his breath for what would come. It might have been minutes, an hour, or a day, but then the world shattered. The mountain range near the tower crumbled and shifted, cutting Stonegate off from the rest of the world. Where the gate had been, mana surged and made the gems vibrate until all, even the diamond, shattered.

The Time Lord pulled back his perspective to see the rest of Sosaria suffering the same Shattering. Mountains crumbled, and islands sank, reshaping the four continents. Mana storms and boiling seas doomed countless species to extinction. In the devastation, empires and kingdoms were lost forever. A single Sosarian timeline splintered into hundreds, one for each shard of Mondain's cursed gem.

Having seen enough, Hawkwind submerged himself in the currents of these timelines, experiencing the flux of five hundred years. There was a growing discord there, as if time itself were smashing against a rock. He knew the source of this turbulence: Shadowguard. Built by the awesome power of Mondain’s gem and maintained by Minax’s enchantment, Shadowguard was a fortress held separate from space and time, protected from even Hawkwind’s sight.

In the past, Minax had used the fortress’s safety to lash out against Britannia. Now, with the assistance of Anon, Minax was discovering what else she could do with the magics of Shadowguard. Her malice was a growing presence in the timelines. Equal parts erratic and brilliant, Minax could not be allowed to wield the power to unravel history itself.

To stop her, the Time Lord would need similar gems: a ruby the color of sunset, a diamond like frozen tears, a flawless imperial emerald, and a dragon’s eye sapphire. Hawkwind considered quietly plucking the gems from various points in history, but he was reminded of the scar given to him by the Shadowlord Astaroth. His mortal form had never completely healed after the incident in Moonglow. He could not do this alone, nor was this a time for secrecy. This was a time for legends.

A nightmare had caused the early waking. As the great beast stretched its wings for the first time in half a millennium, it roared, scattering every living thing for miles. Taking to the sky, its ebon wings blotted out the sun, their every beat shaking even the eldest trees of the Corrupted Forest.

Claws tore into the mountain, cleaving aside stone to reveal the cavern where its hoard was hidden. Instantly, the wyrm knew not a piece had been taken nor touched. It roared its joy, causing a landslide on an opposing cliff. Scaled limbs sank into the treasure, raking aside gold coins and bars to reveal a cluster of gems. Two talons snatched up a prized sapphire. The dark blue gem reflected perfectly the black dragon’s eye.

The nightmare had forewarned that someone would be coming to take the gems away. Enraged, the dragon let loose a burst of flame that liquefied a pile of gold.

Attention Players Wanted for Focus group

Greetings Everyone,

We are happy to announce we are ready to open the Time of Legends focus group. We would like to have approximately 250 players to take a first look at the Time of Legends and give us constructive feedback. If you have an active account and would like to join this group these are the steps to follow:

    Email mesanna@broadsword.com with your account name and a valid email address to use for the internal forums.

    You will then receive a link to fill out a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Survey to give us a better insight to your playing style.

    You will then be added to an internal forums where you will find all the details of what you will be testing and where.

    Please use the default subject title as “Time of Legends Focus Group”

Please note you will not be added until you have completed the NDA and survey. We will begin the process this week to be able to get people started as early as next week. We look forward to your feedback and working with you.

Copied the link from stratics then marked all the runes.  The runes are located at Gilfane O'Malley in Eastern New Magincia on the bay.  There is a rune book for each map.

A public Davie's locker has now been placed at O'Malley's on the east side of New Magincia.  There is also public dye tubs, portals, luck statue and rune library.  The rune library is a work in process.

Someone in chat had asked if there was a public Seed box or Davy's Locker anywhere.  I thought this would be great to put in my New Mag house for anyone to use.  If anyone has either to sell holler plz.

Went on Hokuto to see what the void banner looked like so we can have some expectation of what we are gonna get.  This is Hokuno's banner.  It was constructed by the EM  house.  I have a rune if anyone wants to see it in "real life"

At the Devs Meet and Greet, I requested a plaque or sign to be placed on Siege in recognition of beating the Void Pool record.  Mesanna stated that a banner already exists on a Japanese shard for being the champions.  I then requested that the banner be passed on to Siege.  She agreed to create a banner to be placed on Siege.  I do not want much time to pass before this happens.  "Out of sight, out of mind" comes to me at this moment.  I am requesting that any screen shots taken be emailed to me, so that i may pass them off to EM Troubadour and Mesanna, to get the ball rolling.  Email the screen shots to garbrandtcharlotte@yahoo.com   She is also going to post this on UO.com.  I'm quite excited!
