“But Captain”, protested Governor Spyderbite, “You don’t understand!”

“Governor Spyderbite, it is you who does not seem to understand. My men are the best in Vesper â€" possibly even in the entirety of Britannia. A crime has been committed, and we will see justice done!”

“But â€" ” spluttered Spyderbite, “but â€" ”

“Governor, your protests are only delaying the inevitable. We do not allow criminals to simply get away with this type of behaviour! I would think a man in your position would have a deeper appreciation of that! This is beneath you! Accept this like a man!”

“But they stole from ME!” the black-robed man whined, playing with his chain of office, then putting it safely into a pocket, just in case the robbers were still about. “You cannot imagine the value *cough* the sentimental value of what was in those chests!”

“Yes, and a great many other citizens of Vesper have lost their savings as well. As I said, my men are on the case. Robbing the bank of Vesper is not something that we can allow anyone to get away with. We will most assuredly find these perpetrators, and give them their just deserts!”

“I don’t care about pudding!” exploded the governor “I just want my safety deposit chests back! In exactly the same state I last saw them!”

“We will do our jobs, sir. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to make enquiries.”

Spyderbite trudged off, muttering something about “if they find my ledgers…”

Soon, wanted posters were all across the area, nailed to many a tree.

Hello governors.

I'm aware that most of our current governors have held office before, but as a community service, I thought I'd put some information here, and hope that the rest of the community would fill in any details that I might accidentally leave out. So, here goes:

You can ask King Blackthorn for TWO "things" for your town during your current governorship.
These could be events, decorations, some specific type of NPC placed in your town, some type of teleporter - use your imaginations.

Town-based events I can do easily - please contact me at the email address below.
For extensive, but temporary, town decor, please contact PEC Raine, or give me a message to pass on.
I have also put lanterns at Luna bank with contact details on.

If you want permanent decor, this is entirely at Mesanna's discretion. Either contact her directly, or again, give me a message to pass on. It's better if you send it via me, as I can follow up, and make it clear that this is a governor's request. I do suggest that you supply a reason for permanent decor, and not just "it would make my town look cool". Roleplay is your friend in this regard.

I cannot help you directly with your trade deals. i.e. I can't set up a bottomless chest of gold right next to your city herald or minister of trade!
I can stage events which might help to raise funds in or near your town.
From time to time, I will set up a temporary teleporter hub at the EM house to make access to trade ministers and city heralds. These tend to decay after one to two weeks, and take about an hour at a time to set up, so I won't be doing that all the time. I figure my time is better spent coming up with events.

If you want the terms of the trade deals changed on a permanent basis - and I know some of you are struggling to keep the coffers full - I suggest you - all of you - send Mesanna a polite, well-thought-out message, complete with stats and reasons as to why you are struggling, and what you would like to see happen. Unity among governors would be a good idea here - put your heads together, and present a united front. I can't guarantee anything will happen, but I can guarantee that nothing will happen if you don't ask, and I can almost guarantee that little will happen if only one or two of you ask.

Lastly, I'm an EM. I'm not a dev, I'm not an executive at Broadsword, and I don't own the company. Maybe I could after another 200 years of gold farming. But I can't change policies, I can't change game dynamics, and I won't lead rebellions. But I can make suggestions, so, there you have it. I hope some of you find that helpful - because helpful is what I'm aiming to be. In-between killing you all with monsters, of course.

Advance notice : THREE DAY TAMER EVENT

Round One : Friday 2nd June
Round Two : Saturday 3rd June
Round Three : Sunday 4th June

10 pm British Standard Time / 5 pm Eastern Time

Changes are coming to taming. Some of us like change. But to some of us, it’s like a red flag to a bull.

So, get out there. Tame your bulls! Why? Is this just a lot of bull? No! Starting on Friday the 2nd of June, Siege will have a weekend of Bull Fighting!

You have more than a month to plan and prepare, so get training those bulls!​

Gather together each evening to see whose bull is the biggest, the best, the toughest, in a last bull standing event!

Rules:

Tamers may use anything they like directly on their bull. (healing, masteries, spells, etc)
Tamers may not attack the opposing bull, or its tamer. Doing so will result in disqualification.
Bulls may not attack opposing tamers. Doing so will result in disqualification.
A victory is earned when your bull kills your opponent’s bull.
Once a bull is dead, it will be removed from the arena, ready for resurrection.
Once a bull has died, it is out of the day’s competition, but can try again the next day.
Once a bull has died, the next competitor may enter the arena.
A bull stays in the arena until it is dead, unless its tamer wishes to forfeit.
At the end of day three (Sunday) the winners of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are invited to compete for the prize. If the same bull wins all three days, then they’ve already won.
The prize will be a trophy displayed at the Hall of Champions in Malas.
Gates to the arena will be made available. Watch town criers and General Chat for details.
The EM promises not to enter an Easter Bunny disguised as a bull.

Lastly, this is a bullfight. Only bulls allowed.
A gaman is not a bull. A boura is not a bull either. A dragon is definitely not a bull, even if it’s male.
There will be other tamer events in future. Chicken fights. Anything goes fights. Man vs Beast fights. Dragon fights. We can even have sewer rat fights if there’s enough demand!

But this one is a bullfight. Please don’t have a cow.

Commander Bhaltair scowled at the rejoined pieces of the scroll he had been handed. He could just make out a few letters of the signature â€" “T_oub_d_r”.

So, these were the sole remaining records of the Black Watch?

His predecessor’s office had not so much resembled a place of records and tactics as a war zone. The walls scorched with magic, a heavy broadsword protruding from the wall, the furniture reduced to kindling, and pieces of a heavy order shield embedded in the walls, the ceiling the door and the floor. Most worrying was the pair of valorite plate sollerets on the floor, with a strange black substance oozing from them. What had happened to their occupant?

He put those thoughts aside, and gazed down the carefully reconstructed scroll. A bleak thought came to his mind: “How many of these names are also on the king’s list?”

He called for a runner. “Take this scroll, and have a copy made for every town. It is to be posted where all can see it. Add this scroll as well, as a footnote. Recruitment begins.”

It was a start, at least. Now, to the training plans!

As he strode across the courtyard, his head filled with thoughts of tactics and defence, a shadowy figure watched from behind some bales of straw. The voice from the void had been right, but the loot was terrible, and someone kept throwing him out a window into the moat. Still, the voice did seem to have his best interests at heart. He watched, and gathered intelligence on the enemy. There was far too much order in this kingdom for his liking. Far too much. Something had to be done about that, and he was just the man to do it!

Went to tc1 and tamed one of these.  See the following pics.  I found the knowledge pretty awesome.  A pet that can detect hidden.  Not sure what or how much the tail swipe damage does.  He also kept poisoning me and healing himself.

Grandma's honey has passed away this morning.  May we all have her in our thoughts and prayers.

Until all shards are publish you will not be able to do character transfers.

Data Base Schedule Maintenance

Good Evening Everyone,
Tomorrow morning 11/15/16 you might experience log in difficulties due to data base maintenance.  This will begin at approx 8 am ET and be completed by approx 11 am ET.  During this time you may not be able to log into the game but, if you are in the game you will not be kicked out.

I cannot get in game at the moment.

Siege event tomorrow, Tues Nov 15, 3pm Eastern  I wonder what is in the cards...

As most of you know, Grandma's honey had a health scare that she posted about recently.  She asked me to update everyone on his health and ask for continued prayers.  It has been found that he has a large mass on his upper left lung that has spread to his liver and back.  Unfortunately, the doctors say he has had this for quite some time.  The mass on his lung was too large for them to remove surgically.  They are going to the oncologist on Tuesday to see when he starts his radiation and chemo.
