Title: A Hello from Leprechaun
Post by: Leprechaun on September 30, 2011, 02:08:11 AM
Hello All !

Because of an invite post by Petra Fyde on Stratics, and because of the unbelievable amount of help from Shalimar and the NEW guild, I decided it was time to give Siege a try.

My account is 169 months old and having played from day one, when UO first came online as a fel. only rule set, I know what to expect.
That said, I have never belonged to a guild before, so that will be new territory.

I just graduated tonight from NEW.
And Razz was kind enough to offer me a place in Gilfane.

I want all my new guild mates to know!
I will always be ready to do whatever I can to help the Guild or it's individual members in any way I can.
I will never do anything that is not above board and honest and without good intent.
If ever a problem arises, Please chalk it up to my lack of experience playing in a guild and tell me what I need to do to correct it.

I have been playing on Atlantic for the last 14 years and I am ready for a change.  ( Not quite ready to drop my house yet...but we will see. )

My character on Siege is still in training but I hope to be up to speed soon, as I am a relentless trainer.  ( That 120 Archery might be an uphill battle. )

Now in RL: I am a 58 year old guy in South Carolina. I had a bad fall  about 18 months ago that resulted in a Trimalleolar fracture of my right ankle and a screwed up back. It only took the gov. one look at my MRI and 3-1/2 months  to decide I was disabled.
This means that you might see me online at ANY hour.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

( Sorry for raising your median age level. I swear Shalimar didn't say anything. )

Welcome and dont worry about the age thingy.  Artful Dodger and I have 7 years on ya.  Well, almost.   We are a group that likes to have fun,  if none is around we create our own, and usually leave piles of bodies around.  If you hear that someone is going on a hunt feel free to join.    Ive been on siege 3 years now and finally dropped my house on Cats about a month or so ago.   So again,  Welcome

Sara and Delores

Welcome to Gilfane. And yes, most of House Silverwood will probably consider you a young whipper snapper who goes around playing that newfangled Mozart music too loudly and wears one of those dreadful, modern powdered wigs.

Greetings and welcome! I am the Eldress of House Silverwood (chronologically age 65, but I still, like Peter Pan, refuse to grow up; no fun in it) and so Hoffs is right about this one thing at least :P; you are a youngster. I am not sure what your expectations of guild membership are, but the folk of Gilfane and the Alliance are happy to dispel the incorrect notion some have that Siege is a "dead shard" and nobody is ever on doing anything. With people from all different time zones and occupations there is rarely a time when noone are about somewhere.

Hey!  Well, you are older than me anyway.  Thank God.

Hope you start mending that ankle.  Let me know if you would like to hunt sometime.

Artte.
