Creeger

The Siege Perilous Historic Society used to keep records of the biggest known fish caught on Siege.  Sometime in early 2017, they stopped maintaining those records.  With the help of their old information, I’m going to try and pick this project back up.

If you would like to submit a record fish, or a correction to my list, please contact me here or in-game.  I’ll need to know the location of the fish, or trophy, and have some sort of access to see it.

Indeed, we did. I lost interest in holding or recording fishing tournaments when the then new EM started holding fishing tournaments on a monthly basis and in a way that I felt was dismissive of our own very recent efforts. I'm not certain why the EM couldn't use monthly Hunting Permit tournaments for various beasts, or monthly pet battles as they do on Legends. When we sponsored the fishing tournament it was to create a sense of community and also provide prizes for folks of all economic standing on the shard. If you recall Creeger, I gave you a 120 Resist Spells PS as a prize (which you some months later parlayed into an Enchantress Cameo from me, so a worthwhile prize indeed). Garth and Talia both contributed several prizes in addition to what I scraped together.

Hey Calavera! I do recall the tournament. It was the first one I ever fished in, and I had a blast. It was a Ship model of the H.M.S. Cape and a Figurehead of the BMV Ararat that I won for the biggest stone crab caught. Both are still proudly displayed in my trophy room. Thank you for hosting it, and for keeping the records.

Tanager

I don't think there was any intention to step on toes. I'm sure there is a way to combine the EM's monthly trophy award with a more tangible donated reward to make it more appealing to everyone. A simple e-mail would prolly mend any broken fences and it would be a lot of fun for the fishing community.

Blind Otto

I do remember Bennu saying that EMs could no longer hand out rare awards to single players - probably something to do with Clops or one of his spiritual kindred.
That's probably why our current EM has gone for "reward hall" type trophies.
I suspect he's still allowed to hand out player-donated prizes, given that he gave out something York donated in that Britain Library-based event last year.

Sara Dale

Scratch a line through the Spring Dragon fish  137 stone by Creeger 3.5.18  the day after I caught my 136 stone the day before and change that to 153 stone one caught 3.6.18 by me.

Wonder what his will be today?

Nice! But that’s a lava fish, you weren’t in a boat  :P

I’ll update the record as soon as I’m not on my phone.  That’s going to be a tough one to beat!

Who's telling this fish Tale?

Blind Otto

While re-arranging my clutter, I heard dolphin sounds. Where there's a dolphin, there are usually fish, I thought.
Feeling around, I found this extremely heavy fish. It seems very friendly, and follows me everywhere, like an old friend.
Have I beaten a record?

I caught a 513 stone Autum Dragonfish last night!

Pardon the picture. The fish was SO big it would all not fit in the picture. Even the Camera wasn't able to properly focus as it could not compute the vastness of this fish.

As we all know, my word is golden over all the lands. So no need to check on this. I look forward to my prize and trophy during tonights festivities!
